No momento, o Al Hilal cumpre uma punição da Fifa que o proíbe de contratar nesta janela de transferências. Ou seja, quando vende um jogador, não consegue fazer a reposição imediata e ficaria com uma peça a menos no elenco às vésperas do Mundial de Clubes, no início de fevereiro. Isso foi sinalizado logo que o Verdão demonstrou o interesse em contar com o atacante.

Mas há outras questões em jogo, como o próprio desejo do Al Hilal em manter Michael, independentemente da possibilidade de reposição ou não. A primeira tentativa, que seria de um empréstimo até o final deste ano, foi descartada prontamente pelos sauditas. O Alviverde sabe que dessa forma não há possibilidade de negócio e estuda como dar o próximo passo nas conversas.

Esse outro modelo seria de contratação em definitivo, comprando parte dos direitos econômicos de Michael. Ainda assim, o Palmeiras deverá ter dificuldade, pois não há o interesse em se desfazer do jogador até o término da temporada saudita (fim de maio). Com isso, o atacante ficaria fora do Paulistão e fora da fase de grupos da Libertadores. Algo que não interessaria ao Alviverde.

Vale destacar que a diretoria palmeirense já recebeu o sinal positivo sobre o desejo de Michael em voltar a jogar no futebol brasileiro. O problema é que ele pode influenciar muito pouco dentro de um cenário em que o Al Hilal tem uma série de motivos que impedem uma liberação imediata. Claro que se o valor atingir um patamar irrecusável para os sauditas, a história seria outra, mas não é objetivo do Palmeiras fazer loucuras neste ou em qualquer outro negócio nesta janela de mercado.

A avaliação interna no Verdão é de que Michael se encaixaria perfeitamente dentro do que Abel Ferreira planeja para a temporada 2023, mas há o entendimento de que se trata de um negócio com algo grau de dificuldade. A tendência é seguir o interesse e monitorar o andamento das conversas, mas dando espaço para outros nomes serem observados para essa função na ponta esquerda.

– O gramado estava espetacular e isso propiciou ter jogo com tanto que choveu. Ficou pesado, mas quando diminuiu a chuva já era possível colocar a bola no chão. Gramado suportou bem e conseguiu segurar bem no volume que teve – destacou.

Fernando promoveu uma surpresa na escalação inicial, colocando Giuliano como titular como segundo homem do meio-campo. E o camisa 20 foi um dos destaques do Timão, participando da jogada do primeiro gol e dando a assistência para o segundo.

– Giuliano como segundo homem de meio-campo foi bem. Tem uma leitura e ocupação de espaço inteligente e com a bola nos ajuda na construção. Barca had hoped to make a small scale return to Camp Nou for the Joan Gamper Trophy clash against Como earlier this month but that plan had to be scrapped. After being granted their request to play their first three La Liga games away from home, they hoped the upcoming Valencia clash would be their first match back, but they appear to have missed the mark again. They will have to play all of their games in the first phase of the Champions League, including a potential play off, at the same stadium, which may mean the Camp Nou return won't happen until next year.

WHAT BARCELONA DEPUTY MAYOR SAID

Albert Batlle, the city's deputy mayor for security, admitted that Barcelona’s return to Camp Nou will not come as soon as expected, confirming more delays are on the horizon. 

"It will probably have to be used for a few more months," the councillor stated in an interview with .

He pointed out that the club has yet to provide the required paperwork: "The club has not submitted the certificate of completion of works," indicating that, "today, it has not met the conditions to apply for the initial opening license."

He added: "Let's not put pressure on ourselves regarding the deadlines; what we should put pressure on is the conditions for the opening, which must be done with complete safety… It can't happen again, so technical and political responsibilities were clarified. 

"Barca knows what it must do. Then those responsible for the works will have to certify the completion of the works and the city council's inspection teams will have to make their reports, but the ball at this point, and never better said, is in Barca's court, which must comply with the conditions."

  Former Manchester United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains well-connected within the game, believes Mourinho would be willing to listen to Forest if an approach were to be made.

  He told : “I read that Forest might look at Jose Mourinho. I think he would be open to taking that job, because he’s always got one eye on a return to the Premier League, it’s something he’s been interested in for a while.

  “He rarely spends more than two or three years at any club, so he might be looking to leave Turkey already if the opportunity comes up.

  “Everybody knows what he’s like, he likes to be the centre of attention. That might be a good fit for Forest with all the talk around them at the moment.

  “Replacing Nuno would be a controversial move, so who better to deal with that controversy? I certainly think it’s something he would be interested in should he be offered the chance.”
