O Fluminense não teve dificuldades para avançar à segunda fase da Copa do Brasil. Na goleada por 5 a 0 sobre o River-PI, no Albertão, em Teresina, Everaldo foi um destaques do passeio tricolor. O camisa 37 sofreu o primeiro pênalti, convertido por Luciano, fez o segundo do Tricolor, mas, de acordo com ele mesmo, ainda saiu com “gostinho de quero mais”.

É verdade que o trabalho de Abel Braga é curto. Assim como é o de Fernando Diniz a frente do Fluminense. Contudo, já é possível observar características frutos do comando do inquieto treinador do Tricolor das Laranjeiras. A essa altura do Estadual, já era possível o Flamengo apresentar mais e, em especial, avançar à decisão sem sofrer e sem contar com a vantagem do empate.

Os rubro-negros estão ávidos por títulos de expressão e, caso venham sob o comando de Abel, eles terminarão o ano de 2019 satisfeitos, mas são as atuações convincentes em partidas como a de quinta-feira que darão ao treinador a tranquilidade para trabalhar e trarão a torcida para ao lado do time.

Foi assim na reta final de 2018, por exemplo, sob o comando de Dorival Júnior. Contra o mesmo Fluminense, a equipe impôs seu ritmo – o que já era comum com Maurício Barbieri – venceu por 3 a 0 e trouxe de volta a esperança da torcida na conquista do Brasileirão. Não deu, mas a Nação acreditou até o fim.

With a view to allowing several fringe players an opportunity, New Zealand also left out Trent Boult and Tim Southee. Both are fit and both might have benefited from an opportunity with the unfamiliar Dukes ball. All four senior players will have only one game – the Lions match at Grace Road – to acclimatise.Only three of the likely New Zealand team to play at Lord’s have previously played Tests in England, so it was no surprise to see Gemma Broad, one of the England team’s analysts, taking the opportunity to video the New Zealand players in action with a view to formulating plans for them.This was a gentle start to the tour against a Derbyshire attack as green as the outfield. Brownlie, strong off the back foot, and Watling, strong off the front, progressed smoothly against the support bowling. While Evans, strong and disciplined, looked as if he could have a decent future at this level, Higginbottom, who has played previously for Leeds-Bradford MCCU, struggled and was struck for three boundaries in his first over by the impressive Guptill, while there was little assistance for the spinners.These were useful runs for Brownlie. He endured a modest series against England in New Zealand and faces a fight to retain his place in the light of Guptill’s return but, having pulled and driven nicely, was punished for flashing outside off stump and edged behind.An early declaration provided the New Zealand bowlers a first opportunity in English conditions. While each of them demonstrated pace, there was little need for the Derbyshire openers to play and progress was, if slow, relatively straightforward until the final delivery of the day. Chesney Hughes, fresh from unbeaten 270 against Yorkshire earlier in the week, hooked Doug Bracewell for a six but was beaten for pace by a full delivery from Neil Wagner to bring the day to a close. New Zealand could feel satisfied with the start, but will know there are stiffer challenges to come very soon.

وأضاف: “كولر قال لي قبل اللقاء أنت فعلت ما بوسعك في مباراة الذهاب، ولكن الشناوي سيلعب في المغرب لأنني نحتاج إلى خبرته، وأنا قلت له طالما هذا قرارك فأنا في ضهرك”.

Qual a semelhança entre Patrícia Amorim e Eduardo Bandeira de Mello? Isso mesmo, pessoal: ambos foram presidentes do Flamengo. A primeira – que teve só um mandato, entre 2010 e 2012 – deu início ao Centro de Treinamento do Ninho do Urubu. Vejam o que ela falou no dia 30 de novembro do ano passado, durante a inauguração do módulo profissional:

– Era uma briga danada porque as pessoas diziam na época que a casa do Flamengo era na Gávea.

Logo em seguida, revelou o “craque” que comandou essa mudança:

– O Alexandre Wrobel é um craque. Isso eu acho que é uma unanimidade, uma das poucas que o Flamengo tem. Então, mérito dele mesmo. Minha parte foi trazê-lo para dentro do Flamengo.

O segundo, no caso Bandeira de Mello, inaugurou o módulo 1, em 2016. Já no ano passado, como lembrado acima, celebrou o módulo profissional ao lado de Patrícia e Wrobel . Mas as semelhanças não param por aí. O então presidente por dois mandatos – 2013/2015 e 2016/2018 – e Patrícia Amorim contavam com os improvisados contêineres como alojamento para as categorias de base que pegaram fogo no último dia 8 (há exatas duas semanas), deixando dez jovens jogadores mortos e três feridos.

Em entrevista à Rádio Globo, no último dia 11, Bandeira de Mello questionou as 31 multas da Prefeitura do Rio, além de dizer que não sabia que elas existiam e, muito menos, sobre o pedido de interdição do Ninho do Urubu:

– Sobre as multas, não sei ao que ela (Prefeitura) se refere. Em momento nenhum chegou algo de condição do trabalho, segurança dos atletas e funcionários que ficam alojados no clube. Nunca houve nenhum tipo de interdição do CT baseado em condições de segurança e trabalho. Surreal que a Prefeitura tente interditar uma instalação e não consiga. O que me lembro é que a Prefeitura do Rio elogiou o que vinha sendo feito nessa questão de tratamento dessas crianças.

Por enquanto, o inexplicável
Como nem toda semelhança é mera coincidência, Patrícia Amorim e Eduardo Bandeira de Mello tiveram Alexandre Wrobel como vice-presidente de Patrimônio, que comandou as obras do Ninho do Urubu. Foram mais de sete anos à frente desta pasta.

E o que importa essas informações? Muita coisa. Eles, principalmente Alexandre Wrobel, também devem (e têm a obrigação) de vir a público e dar uma chegada (que tal?) até as autoridades do Ministério Público do Rio, Tribunal de Justiça, Defensoria Pública e Polícia Civil para tentar explicar a inexplicável, por enquanto, tragédia no Ninho do Urubu.

Investigação?
Ah, aliás, a Prefeitura do Rio, através da Secretaria Municipal de Fazenda, entrou com uma notícia-crime na 42ª DP, no Recreio, Zona Oeste do Rio de Janeiro, contra o Flamengo, por desobediência ao edital de interdição emitido pelo órgão, no fim de 2017. Mas cadê os citados no início, meio e fim da coluna? Os ex-presidentes, Patrícia Amorim, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, e o ex-vice de Patrimônio, Alexandre Wrobel.

Isto porque, como eu disse na coluna passada, não podemos deixar cair no esquecimento tragédias como essa (clique no link abaixo para reler). Esperamos que na próxima tenhamos já algumas respostas, pois do jeito que está, não pode ficar. Até lá, pessoal!

ESPNcricinfo staff26-May-2013BCCI president N Srinivasan has promised a fair investigation by a three-member commission, which will include a person independent of the board, into the charges against Gurunath Meiyappan, the CSK official and Srinivasan’s son-in-law who has been arrested, and the three Rajasthan Royals players allegedly involved in spot-fixing. Srinivasan said he would not be part of the commission and would not be part of its appointment or work.Srinivasan said the commission would comprise an independent member and two of the following people: IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla, BCCI vice-president Arun Jaitley, BCCI treasurer Ajay Shirke, board secretary Sanjay Jagdale, and former India captain and commentator Ravi Shastri. This commission, Srinivasan said, would be responsible for investigating and deciding whether Gurunath was an owner of the Super Kings franchise.Gurunath had been part of the Super Kings table at IPL auctions, at team owners meetings with other franchises, present near the team dug-out and at post-match presentation ceremonies. His Twitter account bio said he was the “team principal” and several articles on the franchise website referred to him as “owner,” as did his IPL accreditation. However, when Srinivasan was confronted by this question, his answer was evasive and ambiguous.”We have appointed a commission and in my statement I said the commission will determine this aspect also, and he [Gurunath] has been travelling with the team, he’s been enthusiastic, fine,” Srinivasan said. “What his role was, whether it transcended any rule … I have already read in a statement saying that the commission that is appointed will also deal with it. So I don’t want to say anything because there is an inquiry commission that will go into it. I am not going to sit and explain to you what his role was. India Cements, I understand, has already issued a statement on what his role was and what his role was not … So I don’t think it is necessary for me to go further on this.”When questioned again on Gurunath’s involvement with the Super Kings, Srinivasan said: “He [Gurunath] did not have any role at all. In fact, he never visited the office of the CSK. But he would go, he was enthusiastic. Let the commission find out. You asked me a question, I gave you a reply.”Given that two of the three members of the commission are going to be people with close links to the BCCI, Srinivasan was then asked about its ability to act objectively. His response was indignant. “You cannot presume that people in the board cannot act fairly or properly,” he said. “That is the implication of your query, which I do not agree with. I am not going to be involved but there will be an independent person so it’s not like the board only will be involved, there will be an independent person.”Srinivasan was speaking in Kolkata, four hours before the start of the IPL final. He began addressing a packed room of reporters by saying the last few days had been difficult for him as a father and father-in-law, but said his actions would be nothing but professional.”I sit here as president of the BCCI and put aside all personal feelings. I can assure you that I will not shirk from my duty however difficult it may be,” Srinivasan said. “The BCCI will act without fear or favour to investigate, and if the circumstances warrant, punish any player, match official, team management or franchise that have breached BCCI or IPL regulations.”The disciplinary procedure under the operational rules shall be initiated and a commission, including at least one member who is entirely independent of the BCCI, will be formed to adjudicate whether Mr Gurunath is in breach of operational rules … the management of the other franchise Rajasthan Royals will also be subject to the same procedure.”I am not part of this commission. I will not play any role in its appointment, deliberations or decisions. There has been a lot of media comment on clause 11.3 of the franchise agreement and whether Mr. Gurunath is an owner of the franchise. It is for this commission to look into this. The BCCI is very concerned by the allegations that have been made against the IPL, whether those relate to betting or spot fixing. As I have said on a number of occasions, the BCCI will act swiftly and sternly if the allegations are proven.”Srinivasan went on to stress on the principles of natural justice, that people are innocent until proven guilty, and accused the media of overstepping boundaries in their reporting of the issue. “Persons who have been suspended by the BCCI, known defaulters, fugitives from the Indian justice system and other vested interests keen to discredit me and the BCCI, have indulged in a smear campaign in the last few days. The unfair attack has been relentless. The TV news channels have been carrying unverifiable statements devoid of truth.”An illustration of this type of news would be that there is going to be a divorce within the BCCI. I wish to ensure the cricketing world that this is completely untrue and that there is unity in the BCCI. I have not been asked by anybody to resign. To the contrary, my support is complete, and I refuse to yield to unfair and motivated attacks. I intend to continue my duties as president of the BCCI. It was trial by media for me, you know. If you saw the newspapers, TV channels the only thing they were discussing was my resignation.”

O mês de março não começou nada bem para o Botafogo. A equipe foi derrotada pelo Volta Redonda por 1 a 0, em jogo válido pela segunda rodada da Taça Rio. O resultado complicou a situação do Glorioso no Campeonato Carioca.

Com apenas cinco pontos no competição, está a nove do Fluminense, que ocupa a quarta colocação na classificação geral. Faltando quarto rodadas para o fim do segundo turno, o título começa a surgir como única opção para disputar as semifinais do Estadual.

Além do resultado negativo, o baixo rendimento e a pouca criação foram aspectos muito negativos na partida. O Botafogo jogou mal, produziu muito pouco ofensivamente e quase não assustou o Volta Redonda.

Com isso, uma dúvida começa a pairar na cabeça do torcedor. Qual será o verdadeiro Botafogo em 2019? Aquele que teve um janeiro péssimo? Ou o que terminou fevereiro sem perder uma partida?

O ano começou da pior maneira para o Botafogo. Em quatro partidas disputadas na Taça Guanabara, foram três derrotas e um empate na competição. Entre os resultados negativos nesse período, um 2 a 1 para o Flamengo. A equipe acabou sendo eliminada da competição na fase de grupos.

Com atuações abaixo da média e pouquíssimo poder de reação, a equipe de Zé Ricardo parecia não encontrar uma luz no fim do túnel. Além da derrota no clássico, o Alvinegro perdeu para a Cabofriense por 3 a 1, empatou com o Bangu em 0 a 0, e também foi derrotado pelo Resende por 1 a 0. Apenas dois gols marcados e seis sofridos em janeiro.

As alterações em relação ao ano de 2018 não estavam se encaixando e a equipe não conseguia praticar um bom futebol. O trabalho seria longo pela frente.

FEVEREIRO INVICTO

O mês virou e o futebol do Botafogo também. Já eliminado da Taça Guanabara, a equipe iniciou fevereiro goleando o Boavista por 3 a 0. Gustavo Ferrareis, Erik e Jonathan fizeram os gols da vitória.

Na sequência, vieram os principais desafios nesse primeiro semestre: Copa Sul-Americana e Copa do Brasil. Na competição continental, o Glorioso enfrentou o Defensa y Justicia, equipe argentina que vem surpreendendo no país e disputa o título nacional. Na ida, 1 a 0 no Nilton Santos. No jogo de volta, 3 a 0 fora de casa e classificação garantida.

Pela Copa do Brasil, o Alvinegro não teve dificuldades para avanças pelas duas primeiras fase. Vitória por 2 a 0 contra o Campinense fora de casa e mais uma goleada por 3 a 0 no ano, dessa vez contra o Cuiabá.

A outra partida no mês de fevereiro foi o clássico contra o Vasco, pela primeira rodada da Taça Rio. O time não fez um grande jogo. Após sair atrás do placar no primeiro tempo, reagiu e conseguiu o empate com gol de Marcelo Benevenuto.

Em fevereiro foram seis jogos disputados, com cinco vitórias e um empate. A defesa, que antes era a grande preocupação no início do ano, sofreu apenas um gol nesse período. Mesmo com a saída de Joel Carli, que passou por uma cirurgia no joelho direito, as atuações do sistema defensivo não caíram de produção. Marcelo Benevenuto o substituiu muito bem.

Mas o grande destaque dessa arrancada foi o atacante Erik. O camisa 11 marcou seis gols em seis partidas e se tornou o principal jogador botafoguense.

ALERTA LIGADO!

Embalados pelo fevereiro invicto, os botafoguenses esperavam uma atuação parecida contra o Volta Redonda, na primeira partida pelo mês de março. Mas não foi isso que se viu.

Com algumas alterações no time titular, a equipe de Zé Ricardo não estava inspirada e deixou muito a desejar. Muitos erros de passe, pouquíssimas chances criadas e uma estrela apagada.

Erik não foi o mesmo jogador que encantou a todos no último mês. Deslocado no início do jogo para atuar como um 9, não se sentiu à vontade, e mesmo após voltar a atuar pelo lado do campo, pouco ameaçou o gol de Douglas Borges.

Sem conseguir criar jogadas, a alternativa foi alçar bola na área, mas sem nenhum êxito.

A atuação pobre e o risco real de ficar fora das semifinais do Campeonato Carioca, fazem o torcedor botafoguense se preocupar em relação ao futuro da equipe em 2019.

O Botafogo daqui pra frente será aquele time apagado e sem inspiração de janeiro? Ou vai seguir encantando a torcida com boas atuações e vitórias convincentes, como em fevereiro?
