Football finance expert Kieran Maguire insists promotion means Norwich City are under no pressure to sell their star players.

The Canaries secured an immediate return to the Premier League after getting their hands on the Championship title last season.

Despite that success, Norwich have been unable to keep star man Emiliano Buendia at the club, with the Argentine securing a switch to Aston Villa for a club-record fee last month.

Full-back Max Aarons has also been attracting attention from the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, but Canaries boss Daniel Farke is keen to keep the 21-year-old at Carrow Road ahead of a return to the top flight.

Todd Cantwell is on Aston Villa’s wishlist as well, meaning Norwich are at risk of seeing more of their key players depart the club with Max Aarons another linked with a big-money exit.

However, the Price of Football author Maguire is sure the Canaries are in a strong negotiating position should any bids be tabled.

Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: “There’s certainly no need to sell because the additional money they will get from promotion to the Premier League means they are in a strong position this season.

“It’s a case of the wages they offer following promotion could quite easily be exceeded by offers from other clubs in the Premier League?

“Do they need to sell? No. Could they be outbid for their own players? Yes, they could.”

واستقبل مندوب الاتحاد المصري لكرة السلة في مطار القاهرة طاقم التحكيم الأجنبي الذي يضم كلًا من الصربي ألكسندر جليسيتش والبوسني أديمير زورابوفيتش والمقرر لهما إدارة مباراتي النهائي الأولى والثانية.

ومن المقرر أن يقود الثنائي الأجنبي المباراة الأولى من سلسلة نهائي دوري السوبر بمعاونة الحكم المصري الدولي وائل إبراهيم مع استخدام تقنية الفيديو IRS.

ويعد البوسني أديمير زورابوفيتش حكمًا دوليًا منذ عام 1995 وسبق له إدارة العديد من المباريات الهامة من بينها نهائي أولمبياد طوكيو لكرة السلة ين فرنسا وأمريكا، كما أدار العديد من مباريات تصفيات بطولة أوروبا 2022، ونصف نهائي كأس العالم 2019 للرجال بين فرنسا والأرجنتين ومباراة تحديد المركز الثالث والربع بين فرنسا وأستراليا.

The Irons have been tipped to target new goalkeepers this summer as current number one Lukasz Fabianski nears the end of his career.

The Poland veteran recently put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension at the London Stadium, but at 36, West Ham may need to think about his potential successor, or at the very least provide sufficient backup for him.

قرر المدرب الفرنسي زين الدين زيدان، المدير الفني السابق لنادي ريال مدريد، حضور نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا، والذي سيجمع بين الملكي وليفربول.

ويُقام نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا، نهاية الشهر الجاري، يوم 28 مايو، بين ريال مدريد وليفربول في العاصمة الفرنسية باريس على ملعب “دو فرانس”، وتنطلق المباراة في تمام الساعة التاسعة مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة.

وذكرت صحيفة “موندو ديبورتيفو” الإسبانية في تقرير لها، أن الرجل الذي سبق وتولى تدريب ريال مدريد، سيكون أحد كبار الشخصيات الحاضرة في المباراة.

وقالت الصحيفة إن زيدان لديه ذكريات جيدة في الملعب المستضيف للمباراة، حيث ساعد من قبل بلاده في الانتصار على البرازيل بنهائي كأس العالم 1998، حين حققت الديوك الفرنسية أول ألقابها في المونديال.

زين الدين زيدان، سبق وأن توج بأربعة ألقاب في دوري أبطال أوروبا كمدرب مع ريال مدريد، لقب عندما كان مساعدًا للإيطالي كارلو أنشيلوتي، وثلاثة ألقاب بعدما تولى تدريب اللوس بلانكوس في (2015/16، 2016/17، 2017/18).
