تباينت ردود أفعال جماهير فريق ليفربول الإنجليزي، حول ما قدمه نجمنا المصري محمد صلاح، جناح الفريق في مباراة إنتر ميلان بدوري أبطال أوروبا.

وهُزم ليفربول من إنتر ميلان بهدف نظيف، في المباراة التي أقيمت مساء أمس الثلاثاء، على ملعب “آنفيلد”، ضمن لقاءات إياب دور الـ16 من دوري الأبطال.

ورغم هذه الخسارة لكن ليفربول نجح في بلوغ دور ربع النهائي، مُستفيدًا من فوزه ذهابًا بهدفين نظيفين، ليتأهل بنتيجة (2/1) في مجموع المباراتين.

صلاح شارك في المباراة كأساسي ولعب مُنذ ضربة البداية وحتى صافرة النهاية، وأداؤه كان متوسطًا، حيث أضاع ثلاثة أهداف مُحققة خلال المباراة، وضرب القائم والعارضة مرتان.

A sports lawyer has dropped some promising insight on the recent Newcastle United takeover case launched by Mike Ashley.

The Lowdown: Ashley launches anti-competition lawsuit

The club owner has recently launched an anti-competition lawsuit against the Premier League with regards to their decision-making process on the failed deal between him and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) consortium.

This comes after the Magpies confirmed last week that HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) were discontinuing their investigation into their taxes, which in turn prompted Ashley to refer to ‘dark forces’ which were preventing the Tyneside club from becoming the ‘powerhouse that the fans deserve’.

The Latest: Sports lawyer drops promising insight

Speaking to The Chronicle, sports lawyer Daniel Geey has given some promising insight into the case launched by Ashley. He said:

“Where I think it’s of some value (to analysts) is it goes specifically into what the club thinks the Premier League has done wrong.

“The summary talks about ‘the decision the Premier League reached when they failed to apply their rules in fair, objective and non-discriminatory fashion’ and that it ‘used its powers to rule for an improper purpose of promoting its own commercial interests and its business associates’.

“The reason why that’s quite interesting is that those arguments are what they’ll use in the Premier League arbitration as well.

“What the CAT is there for is a very specialist arbitration body which has very special competition law judges to be able to rule on nuanced competition law arguments. So the club must feel that they are in a strong position and have strong arguments from a competition law perspective, I think especially the fair, objective and non-discriminatory fashion of failing to apply the rules.”

The Verdict: Newcastle in ‘strong position’

As Geey has claimed, Newcastle must feel that they are in a ‘strong position’, not just for this latest case against the Premier League, but their arbitration hearing as well.

The Magpies clearly feel as if they have enough strong evidence to present in court against the Premier League, given that there are now two cases launched against them in relation to the failed takeover.

The club could well turn out to be successful in both cases, and if so, a pathway could be cleared for the original bid to be revived.

Para 2017, a ideia do novo técnico Cristovão Borges é aproveitar melhor as categorias de base para que a média de idade da equipe titular diminua. Uma das maiores críticas sofridas pelo Vasco em 2016 foi a média dos 11 titulares superar 30 anos. A nova ideia é girar em 26.

– Alguns já estão nos profissionais, jogaram. Com certeza vou dar continuidade, tem que aproveitar. Isso é muito importante, e o Vasco faz muito bem isso. A formação de um time vencedor sempre vai ser assim, misturar experientes com jovens. Já estão sendo revelados jogadores que a gente viu que tem condição, e vão provavelmente jogar em 2017 – disse o treinador.

O lateral-esquerdo chamou a atenção no segundo semeste, mas não ganhou sequência pelo técnico Jorginho. Entrou em campo dez jogos (três vitórias, cinco empates e duas derrotas). Não fez gol pela equipe.

Andrey
O volante foi muito relacionado, mas entrou em campo somente duas vezes (uma vitória e um empate). Não balançou as redes adversárias.

Caio Monteiro
Atacante, se sobressaiu, mas sofreu com uma lesão que o tirou dos gramados no fim da temporada. Jogou 17 vezes (nove vitórias, seis empates e duas derrotas). Fez dois gols.

Evander
O meia foi comparado a Nenê em algumas oportunidades ao longo do ano, mas também não deslanchou em 2016. Foram 16 jogos (oito vitórias, três empates e cinco derrotas). Não conseguiu fazer gols.

Mateus Pet
Foi integrado aos profissionais durante a pré-temporada pelo técnico Jorginho, mas logo retornou para a base pela falta de chances. Entrou em campo no adulto somente cinco vezes (três vitórias e dois empates). Também não fez gols.

Sheffield United were boosted by the news recently that Daniel Jebbison has signed a professional deal at Bramall Lane, which should hopefully keep him with the Blades for a while longer.

The 17-year-old signed his first professional deal alongside fellow academy talents Femi Seriki, Andre Brooks, Jordan Amissah and Oliver Arblaster, with Sheffield United suggesting that they have all been tied down to long-term deals.

Jebbison has burst onto the scene at Bramall Lane in recent weeks, as he was handed his senior debut as a substitute in the 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace before earning a start for the game against Everton at Goodison Park.

The young Englishman scored the only goal of the game as Paul Heckingbottom’s side picked up an impressive win against the Toffees, and the youngster has unsurprisingly started every game since.

It had seemed as if the teenager could well be on the move this summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all reportedly interested.

Blades fans would surely be disappointed to lose such a bright young prospect so early, so will be delighted that he has now signed a long-term deal with the Bramall Lane outfit, one which should hopefully increase the chances of him staying with the club this summer, thus allowing him to make a positive impact in the Championship next season.

There seems no reason why, after a promising few appearances in the Premier League, Jebbison can’t have an impact in the second tier next season and potentially help the Blades challenge for promotion back to the top-flight at the first time of asking.

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards was full of praise for the youngster recently, saying:

“I really like the look of him. He just gets in the right areas, and they needed that with all the negativity that’s gone on at the club.

“You want to bounce back straight away, and you want to go to the end of the season with positivity.

“They’re playing for pride, and he’s the shining light.”

Therefore, Blades fans will be buzzing that one of the few positives from a disappointing season has committed his long-term future to the club, as he looks to have a very bright future at Bramall Lane.

Manchester City have been heavily linked with both Harry Kane and Andre Silva ahead of the summer but who would be the better signing for Pep Guardiola’s side as they search for a replacement for Sergio Aguero?

Harry Kane

Manchester City have been regularly linked with a move for the Tottenham Hotspur striker in the past year but things have accelerated in recent weeks, after the England captain made it clear that he is looking for a new challenge this summer, following a less than impressive campaign from the North London club.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic campaign despite Spurs’ failings in the league and in the cup, contributing 23 goals and 14 assists in the Premier League, earning a fantastic 7.9 average rating from WhoScored.

Kane has consistently found the back of the net in the top-flight in recent seasons but would likely cost well over £100m after one of the best seasons of his career thus far.

Andre Silva

According to the Daily Mail, Silva is one of the names on Manchester City’s list to replace Aguero this summer after an exceptional season with Eintracht Frankfurt in the German top-flight.

The Portugal international signed for the Bundesliga side following an impressive loan spell last season and finished second in the goalscoring charts behind only Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandoski this season, hitting 28 goals in just 32 league appearances.

The 25-year-old is currently valued at just £37.8m by Transfermarkt so would likely be much cheaper than Kane, whilst Eintracht Frankfurt’s fifth-placed finish suggests that the offer of Champions League football could tempt him to the Etihad this summer.

Who would be the better signing?

Whilst there is little doubt that Kane is the better player at this moment in time, it would be extremely surprising for Man City to spend over £100m on a 27-year-old who has struggled with injury problems in the past, so they may well be better going for the younger, cheaper option of Silva.

The “ice cold” forward, who has been likened to Lewandowski, has emphasised his quality in the past two seasons after struggling with AC Milan and could prove to be an excellent replacement for the outgoing Aguero.

Therefore, given Kane’s likely excessive asking price, City sporting director Txiki Begiristain should forget about signing the Englishman this summer and instead look at bringing in Silva.

As movimentações para contratações do Vasco de olho em 2017 seguem sendo realizadas pela diretoria do clube, agora liderada pelo vice-presidente de futebol Eurico Brandão. Os atacantes Luis Fabiano e Riascos são dois dos nomes que podem parar em São Januário e não está descartada a possibilidade de acerto com ambos os jogadores.
