أفادت تقارير صحفية إسبانية، أن خوان لابورتا رئيس نادي برشلونة، اجتمع بالمدرب رونالد كومان، لمناقشة مستقبل النادي الكتالوني.

لابورتا عُيّن رسميًا رئيسًا لـ برشلونة، وأصبح يباشر عمله من مكتبه في كامب نو منذ الأسبوع الماضي، وكانت أولى اللقاءات مع رونالد كومان.

المدرب الهولندي كان لديه تقرير كامل عن تقييمه للنادي خلال الفترة الماضية، ورغبته في التحسين مستقبلًا، بالإضافة لقائمة اللاعبين الرافضين تخفيض أجورهم، حسب ما أكدت صحيفة “سبورت” الإسبانية.

وأكدت الصحيفة بأن ماتي أليماني سيكون مدير كرة القدم في النادي، بالإضافة إلى جوردي كرويف الذي سيتولى منصب المدير الرياضي مع انتظار خروجه من الصين.

لابورتا تحدث مع كومان، عن تدعيم مركز قلب الدفاع، بالإضافة لتجديد عقد ميسي، وكانت أبرز النقاط هالاند الذي يعتبر الحلم الكبير لـ برشلونة.

وشدد لابورتا على أنه يجب المراهنة على فريق الشباب، والذي كان دائمًا يساعد برشلونة وتدعيمه باللاعبين الرائعين.

أعلن مجلس إدارة نادي الاتحاد السكندري، عن مصرع عائلة لاعب الزمالك والمعار لصفوف سيد البلد، رزاق سيسيه في حادث سير أودى بحياة والدته واثنين من شقيقاته.

وحرص نادي الاتحاد على تقديم التعازي للاعب في بيان رسمي، معلنًا توجه اللاعب إلى بلده كوت ديفوار خلال ساعات لحضور مراسم العزاء.

Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood has not been included in the 24-man Republic of Ireland squad ahead of their October international fixtures. 

Instead, Mick McCarthy has opted to call up Middlesbrough stopper Darren Randolph, Bournemouth’s Mark Travers and Kieran O’Hara, who is spending the season away from parent club Manchester United on loan at Burton Albion.

Westwood has been a regular in the Irish squad since making his debut in 2009. He has played 21 times for his country, although his most recent cap was back in 2017.

He was included in the squad to play Switzerland back in September, but pulled out with injury.

Speaking about leaving Westwood out, manager McCarthy said: “Keiren’s not going to start if Darren Randolph’s there and the other two lads (Mark Travers and Kieran O’Hara) were brilliant in training.”

The 34-year-old has been a regular for the Owls this season, and has conceded just nine times so far as well as keeping two clean sheets.

His absence from the Ireland squad has left plenty of Sheffield Wednesday fans baffled, with many of them claiming he would be a better choice than current number one Randolph.

However, some are also quite happy that Westwood has been overlooked as it means there is no risk of him picking up an injury on international duty.

ويخوض اللاعبين التدريب الأساسي في العاشرة صباح الغد، بينما يؤدي اللاعبين للمستبعدين تدريباتهم في الثالثة عصرا.

على أن يتم الإعلان عن قائمة الزمالك بعد تدريب الغد، والتي تسافر ظهر الخميس إلى الجزائر استعدادا لمواجهة مولودية الجزائر.

ومن المقرر، أن يؤدي الزمالك تدريبه على ملعب 5 جويلية بالجزائر، حيث تغير موعد التدريب عن موعد اللقاء، بسبب ارتباط الملعب بلقاء شباب بلوزداد ومازيمبي الكونغولي في التاسعة مساء الجمعة المقبل.

ويغادر الزمالك القاهرة غدا الخميس متوجها إلى الجزائر لمواجهة مضيفه المولودية، في مباراة يسعى خلالها الفريق الأبيض إلى تحقيق الفوز لمواصلة البحث عن الحفاظ على آماله في التأهل لدور الثمانية من البطولة الإفريقية.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men looked flat once again in the Premier League, and David de Gea’s post-match interview with Sky Sports certainly felt revealing about the lack of direction surrounding the club.

Marcus Rashford has found himself in the firing line of criticism this season for his poor form, with the England international scoring just once from open play.

The 21-year-old took to Twitter to send an apology to the club’s fan-base, and insisted “you can’t hide in football and the last few weeks simply haven’t been good enough.”

If the striker thought he would be receiving a wave of support and heart-felt commiserations for his words, then he was left sadly mistaken.

Towards the end of last week, The Daily Record carried a story surrounding Manchester United’s reported interest in Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

The publication claimed that United had actually been in contact with the French outfit over a potential swoop in the January transfer window.

However, it is alleged that Lyon value the 23-year-old in the region of £69.8m, which could well prevent the deal from going through.

Dembele has scored six times in 10 appearances for his Ligue 1 outfit this season, whilst he has managed 26 goals in 56 outings for the club in all competitions.

Despite the decent goal return, a number of United fans have laughed off suggestions that their club could spend close to £70m on the former Celtic forward.

Indeed, even with the team struggling in the final third – netting just nine times in the league – the club’s supporters are not interested in Dembele for that price.

The winger has scored four goals while laying on three assists in just six starts so far this campaign, per WhoScored. On two occasions his impact has practically won Albion the game – think of Luton away and more recently against Huddersfield.

He is currently the joint-top goalscorer amongst the squad, but given he is only on loan, a huge problem may arise come January.

The 21-year-old’s rich vein of form could result in his parent club, West Ham, wanting him to contribute to their Premier League exploits this season – that has to be the reason why they installed a recall clause as part of the deal.

If that did happen, it would be an absolutely killer blow to their title hopes considering the impact Diangana has had already in just six starts.

Young Kyle Edwards would have to step up as fellow Albion winger Oliver Burke was sent out on loan while Chris Willock seems to only be an option for the U23 squad as he is yet to feature in the league despite joining from Benfica for a temporary stint of his own.

Edwards has scored just one goal in ten appearances, so there’s nothing to suggest he could fill Diangana’s void.

It would likely also cause unrest amongst the Hawthorns faithful considering a year ago the very same thing happened with Harvey Barnes.

The Leicester City ace scored nine goals and provided six assists in 26 appearances, per WhoScored, before the Foxes recalled him to feature for the senior side.

Ultimately, the point of these loan deals has paid off, but it does still leave West Brom hanging in the mire.

With sporting and technical director Luke Dowling putting a two-year timeframe on the club returning to the top-flight, losing Diangana would only put a dent on such hopes.

Whether the Baggies would have gained promotion with Barnes still at the club post-January remains to be seen, but you’d imagine he would have undoubtedly helped their cause.

There was only one natural right-back in the Crystal Palace squad after Aaron Wan-Bissaka departed, a certain Joel Ward. The 29-year-old only featured seven times in the league in the 2018/19 season thanks to the former’s terrific form, so perhaps the idea of him replacing a man who had just been sold for big money seemed a little optimistic.

Still, eight league games on and Palace haven’t buckled without the youngster. In fact, the Eagles have started terrifically, recording 14 points from their opening eight matches – winning four, drawing two and losing two.

Ward was brought to the club for just £400k (per the club’s official website, via Web Archive) back in 2012 and has since been on quite the ride with the Eagles. In his first season, he was a vital figure in the club’s surprise promotion from the Championship, he has represented the club in an FA Cup Final, and is also in the history books as Palace’s most ever capped Premier League player.

His commitment to the club hasn’t gone unnoticed. This time last week, chairman Steve Parish said that the former Portsmouth man epitomises everything about the club.

The Palace supremo said (via Football.London): “Joel Ward to me epitomises everything we have got in the football club. You can spend £45m on a striker, or £42m on a left-sided player, or £27m on a right-sided player, as it was at the weekend [against West Ham], but Joel Ward was £400,000 from Portsmouth.

“And is there a better servant to the club at the moment?

“People talk about giving 100 per cent, and has anyone ever seen Joel Ward give anything other than everything? To me, he is absolutely everything about Crystal Palace.”

Frankly, it’s hard to argue with Parish.

Ward stayed true to Palace despite being put on the back-burner for a year, coming up trumps again when his team has needed him. It could have been very easy for the player to throw his toys out of the pram and leave the club after he was made the second choice pretty much instantly after Wan-Bissaka had to step up for him when he was injured during the 17/18 season.

Now in his eighth year at the club, Joel Ward is doing what Joel Ward does: churning out consistent performances while putting his body on the line every week. So far this campaign, he has been one of the better players at the club without really standing out. Indeed, he has played every league game this season for Palace with the sixth-highest average rating in the whole squad (6.88, according to WhoScored), as well as the most amount of tackles per game and interceptions per game, with 2.9 and 2.3 respectively.

Considering £400k has earned Palace 226 appearances over eight seasons, there is no doubt that Palace will feel like they have got their money’s worth.
