Manchester United fans on Twitter aren’t happy with reports linking them with a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

Whilst you would expect the Red Devils fanbase to be happy with the news, seeing as Oblak is arguably one of the best keepers in world football, the majority of them are seemingly not in favour of a move as it will use up funds needed for more problematic areas.

United are struggling to renew David de Gea’s contract, as the Spaniard wants to be earning the same amount as the club’s highest paid player, Alexis Sanchez – the Chilean takes home £350,000-a-week before bonuses.

The ongoing discussions seem to be affecting his form on the pitch as well. De Gea has made a number of errors in recent weeks, most recently when he spilled Antonio Rudiger’s shot and allowed Marcos Alonso to prod home in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Also, United have a great No.2 in Sergio Romero, and have a fantastic young keeper in Dean Henderson waiting in the wings; the 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season with Sheffield United, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League.

As a result of this, lots of United fans on Twitter don’t want another goalkeeper, especially when other areas of the team are desperately in need of reinforcement…

Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka may have gone under the radar when it came to recognition from the PFA this month, but the impressive defender is clearly well-appreciated at Selhurst Park by his peers and the fans, who both voted him as player of the season on Tuesday.

If that wasn’t enough, the 21-year-old was also acknowledged for his community work in what was surely a fantastic evening for the starlet – it has to be said, he deserves all three gongs.

The Palace number 29 has been a fixture in the starting XI since breaking through to the first team in February 2018, but has really come into his own this campaign, establishing himself as one of the best right-backs in the league.

رد خورخي ميسي، والد ووكيل أعمال النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي، قائد برشلونة الإسباني، على الأنباء التي تم تداولها حول مفاوضاته مع باريس سان جيرمان.

شبكة قنوات “ESPN” الإسبانية أفادت أن النادي الفرنسي دخل في مفاوضات مع والد ميسي، لضم أيقونة البلوجرانا، والذي ينتهي عقده بنهاية الموسم الحالي ولم يجدده.

وعبر يومياته على “إنستجرام”، وضع والد ميسي صورة الخبر المتداول وعلّق عليها: توقفوا عن الاختراع! أنباء كاذبة”.

Look away now Celtic fans: Gary Hooper could be making a return IF Neil Lennon is appointed as permanent manager.

SunSport have reported that free agent forward Gary Hooper would be keen on a Parkhead return. You are living in dreamland Gary, and so is gargoyle Neil Lennon.

Hooper was recently released by Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday after three and a half years at the club.

The Englishman is no stranger to Scottish football having been signed by Lennon in 2010 for £2.4million from Scunthorpe United and the forward quickly established himself as a fan favourite netting 82 goals in 137 appearances, collecting two titles and two Scottish Cups along the way.

Not that it has any bearing on his current ability. Indeed, the idea of bringing him back is shocking in the worst possible meaning of the word.

Hooper left Parkhead in 2013 to join Norwich City in what has to be one of the most underwhelming transfer stories known to modern history. He has since experienced a bit of a rollercoaster through English football, failing miserably to make an impact on the Premier League, which is presumably why he moved in the first place.

Interim boss Lennon is apparently still waiting to hear from major shareholder Dermot Desmond and chief executive Peter Lawwell whether he will be replacing Brendan Rogers long-term, but his interest in expired “talent” Hooper has probably just about made up their mind.

Indeed, Lennon has probably sealed his own fate by entertaining the idea that reintroducing Gary Hooper back into the Celtic ranks. And he would do well to stop identifying potential signings for the summer transfer window, in case he makes another rogue suggestion like bring Henrik Larsson out of retirement.

The fact that Celtic recently spent a club record £9million on a youthful Odsonne Edouard from Paris Saint-Germain really puts things into perspective. Lennon must not get the job.

Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after the new home shirt for the 2019/20 season was revealed against Bournemouth.

The Eagles usually announce their new strips at the annual awards ceremony, but instead opted to wait until the final game of the season to don their latest design; it’s safe to say that the supporters are happy with it!

There’s some exciting changes happening at Crystal Palace next summer. Find out what in the video below…

Mainly, some fans seem happy that the home shirt no longer has yellow trim on the shirt and shorts, which has been replaced with a white trim instead.

The socks also have an eye-catching red hoop around it, whilst the shirt has some aesthetically pleasing white lines down the front to outline the red and blue stripes.

It certainly seemed to do the trick for Roy Hodgson’s men, as they raced into a 3-1 lead before half-time against the Cherries, before eventually running out 5-3 winners.

وأكمل: “قولا واحدًا الحديث المثار بشأن مشاركة أي لاعب في التدريبات الجماعية قبل ظهور نتيجة التحاليل الخاصة بفيروس كورونا، عاري تمامًا عن الصحة وليس له أساس”.

وأتم: “(صحة لاعب مصري واحد ببطولات الدنيا كلها)، ولا أحد يستطيع المجازفة”.

وعن تألق الأندية والمنتخبات بالكرة المصرية في الفترة الأخيرة، قال: “أرقام قياسية كثيرة جدًا تحققت هذا العام، وكنت محظوظًا بتواجدي على رأس منظومة كرة القدم”.

وأضاف: “لأول مرة ناديان مصريان يصلان لنهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا وتكون المباراة النهائية في مصر، بالإضافة إلي تواجد بيراميدز في نهائي الكونفدرالية”.

Celtic are in the hunt to sign midfielder Rekeem Harper, according to The Daily Mail.

What’s the story?

With just one game left until the Hoops’ season is over, the club will naturally be preparing already for the challenges ahead next year.

There’s lots of work to do to the squad to maintain the success their supporters have enjoyed over the last few years.

As we’ve seen for many transfer windows, part of Celtic’s signing strategy will involve securing young talent that can develop and improve while in Glasgow.

Step forward Rekeem Harper, who made the breakthrough at West Bromwich Albion this season and now looks set to try and further himself elsewhere.

The Mail report his contract is up this summer and that the Hoops are very interested in signing him, with discussions having progressed to the stage of inviting him to Sunday’s match against Hearts and giving him a VIP tour of the facilities.

The paper reckon clubs like Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on his services, so this is far from a done deal, but the fact he is being linked with elite Premier League sides is a good sign he has high ability.

Where would he fit into Celtic?

Still just 19-years-of-age, Harper is far from the finished article but has shown good progress at the Baggies recently, making 23 appearances for their first-team this term.

A central midfielder, he would arrive at Celtic Park immediately competing for places in a midfield already well stocked with talent like Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, Scott Brown, Olivier Ntcham, Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic.

With Ewan Henderson also showing promise the addition of Harper might raise some eyebrows, but if there’s an excellent talent available on a free transfer then it’s sensible to make a move.

Is there room for him?

The player that would suffer most from his presence at Celtic would likely be Eboue Kouassi, who has failed to live up to the hype of his arrival in January 2017 when Brendan Rodgers talked excitedly about how good he is.

The Ivorian has missed much of this season with a knee injury but had he been fit his chances would have likely been limited anyway.

If Celtic are looking at other young midfielders like Harper then it doesn’t bode well for the 21-year-old, with reports last summer from outlets such as The Daily Record believing he was already surplus to requirements.

Can Harper prove to be a more effective prospect in the Hoops first-team?

The 2018/19 Premier League season is already a distant memory for the majority of Manchester United fans, who are now only interested in the summer transfer window.

Without over exaggerating, this summer is without doubt the most important in Manchester United’s recent history – it could make or break them for years to come.

If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the man the owners are going to trust, then he needs to be backed incredibly well financially to give his side a fighting chance of propelling themselves back into the top four at the very least.

Though a different approach may be taken to the transfer window this time around, with it being reported the Red Devils will look to sign young players with great potential.

One name among a list of many is Benfica and Portugal international Gedson Fernandes (per the Daily Mirror earlier this week) and what an incredible capture he could be for Man United.

Fernandes (who is valued at £19.8 million on Transfermarkt) is one of many extremely talented Benfica youngsters that Manchester United will be interested in over the summer.

The 20-year-old has played an impressive 46 games this season and from his central-midfield role has scored three goals and assisted a further six.

Fernandes has a brilliant engine that allows him to get up and down the pitch with ease, galloping forward while also helping out defensively.

An athletic midfield is very much necessary in the modern game and besides Paul Pogba, the two could form a fantastic partnership together that could be the basis of United’s middle for years to come.
