أسفرت قرعة منافسات بطولة كأس العالم تحت 17 عامًا، التي أقيمت في قطر، عن تواجد منتخب مصر للناشئين في مجموعة قوية، وذلك ضمن منافسات البطولة المرتقبة التي ستقام خلال الفترة من 3 إلى 27 نوفمبر المقبل بمشاركة 48 منتخبًا لأول مرة في تاريخ البطولة. 

وكان منتخب مصر تحت 17 عامًا قد تأهل إلى النهائيات العالمية بعد مشوار صعب في بطولة كأس الأمم الإفريقية، حيث حجز بطاقة العبور بعدما أنهى دور المجموعات في المركز الثالث، ليُكافأ بمقعد في كأس العالم، ويعود لتمثيل القارة السمراء في هذا المحفل العالمي.

وكشف الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا” عن التصنيف الرسمي للمنتخبات المشاركة في البطولة، حيث جاء منتخب مصر في المستوى الرابع، وهو ما وضعه في مواجهة منتخبات من العيار الثقيل في مرحلة المجموعات. ويتكوّن المستوى الرابع أيضًا من منتخبات الإمارات، البرتغال، التشيك، جمهورية أيرلندا، سويسرا، زامبيا، أوغندا، بوليفيا، السعودية، السلفادور، وفيجي.

أما المستوى الأول فضم منتخبات قطر (البلد المنظم)، البرازيل، فرنسا، مالي، ألمانيا، المكسيك، الأرجنتين، إنجلترا، اليابان، باراجواي، أمريكا، والسنغال. فيما تواجدت منتخبات كوريا الجنوبية والمغرب وإيطاليا وبلجيكا وغيرها في المستوى الثاني، بينما ضم المستوى الثالث منتخبات مثل كوستا ريكا وكوت ديفوار وتونس وأستراليا.

ووفقًا لما أعلنه “فيفا”، فقد تم توزيع المنتخبات على أربعة أوعية، كل وعاء يضم منتخبات من نفس التصنيف، ليُسحب منها بالتوالي لتكوين 12 مجموعة، على ألا تضم المجموعة الواحدة أكثر من منتخبين من نفس الاتحاد القاري، ما يعزز من التنوع الجغرافي في دور المجموعات. مجموعة مصر في كأس العالم تحت 17 عامًا

Therefore, the Northern Irishman could be prepared to think outside of the box to fill in for Enciso, with this 20-year-old gem in question having the potential to be the club’s next Hutchinson.

Indeed, not every footballer attempting to cut their teeth in the men’s game has an Eton-based education to hand, but that is the case when it comes to 20-year-old prospect Tudor Mendel-Idowu.

Mendel-Idowu has since walked away from the Blues to take up a new opportunity at Ipswich – via a fresh adventure out in Belgium with Anderlecht – with the exciting attacker making a name for himself in recent U21 contests in Suffolk.

Having fired home 13 strikes from 35 U18 appearances at Chelsea, Mendel-Idowu has now taken to the U21 fold at Ipswich swimmingly, with plenty of strikes coming his way across his side’s past few Professional Development League encounters.

Across his side’s last six games, Mendel-Idowu – who U23 scout Antonio Mango claimed has “electrifying acceleration” and “fearless charisma” – has positively had an impact on both victories being secured with three goals next to his name.

Therefore, there will be a hope on the 20-year-old’s end that he can follow in fellow Chelsea academy graduate Hutchinson’s footsteps soon, with the 21-year-old going on to be a shining light in the senior ranks at Ipswich by picking up two goals and two assists this season in league action, having also left Stamford Bridge behind.

عبر ميجيل كاردوسو، المدير الفني لنادي ماميلودي صن داونز، عن فخره الكبير بأداء فريقه، رغم الخسارة أمام بيراميدز في نهائي دوري أبطال إفريقيا 2024-2025، مساء الأحد.

وخسر صن داونز بنتيجة 2-1 في لقاء الإياب، ليُتوج بيراميدز باللقب الأول في تاريخه بعد تفوقه في مجموع المباراتين 3-2.

ورغم خيبة الأمل، شدد كاردوسو على أن فريقه قدم أداءً استثنائيًا في البطولة، وأطاح بكبار القارة في طريقه نحو النهائي.

وقال كاردوسو عقب اللقاء في المؤتمر الصحفي: “أود أن أُذكر الجميع أننا في طريقنا إلى النهائي واجهنا الأهلي، الذي ما زال يتصدر تصنيف الأندية الإفريقية، وتغلبنا عليه في نصف النهائي، كما لعبنا ضد الترجي، المصنف ثانيًا، وتغلبنا عليه أيضًا”.

وأشار المدرب البرتغالي إلى أن الفريق تجاوز تحديات عديدة منذ بداية المسابقة، قائلًا: “عندما وصلت إلى صن داونز، كان الفريق يعاني لتجاوز دور المجموعات في دوري أبطال إفريقيا، خضنا مواجهة قوية جدًا منذ البداية أمام الرجاء البيضاوي، في مجموعة صعبة ضمت أيضًا الجيش الملكي، ورغم ذلك، نجحنا في التأهل من تلك المجموعة”.

وأشاد كاردوسو بلاعبيه: “طوال البطولة، أظهر لاعبونا التزامًا عاليًا، وروحًا قوية، وجودة فنية كبيرة، ووصولهم إلى النهائي يجعلني فخورًا جدًا”.

ورغم مرارة الخسارة، أكّد مدرب صن داونز أن الفريق سيعود أقوى، حيث قال: “الإحساس بعدم الفوز في نهائي مؤلم ومرير للغاية، لكن كما قلت قبل المباراة، لدي مجموعة رائعة من اللاعبين في غرفة الملابس، يعانون الآن، لكنهم سينهضون من جديد كما يفعل الأبطال الحقيقيون”.

شهدت مباراة سانتوس الأخيرة مشهدًا دراميًا لجناح الفريق، نيمار، الذي قد يكون ودع النادي البرازيلي بها، بعد طرده في مواجهة بوتافوجو إثر هدف سجله بيده.

وعاد نيمار بعد غياب شهر بسبب إصابة متكررة، لكنه تلقى البطاقة الصفراء الثانية بسبب لمسة اليد، ما أدى إلى طرده وتأثر فريقه الذي خسر 0-1.

وأضاف: “لو لم أُطرد اليوم، لكنا بالتأكيد حصلنا على النقاط الثلاث، الفريق يستحق التهنئة على الأداء، يمكنكم تحميلي ضياع هذه النقاط”.

وعن التحكيم، انتقد نيمار قائلاً: “كنت أستحق الإنذار الثاني، لكن الحكم سخر مني عندما منحني الأول، هناك حكام سيئون، هذا مجرد رأيي، أرجوكم لا تعاقبوني بهذه الطريقة مرة أخرى”.

According to Caught Offside, Aston Villa are now plotting a move to sign Rodrigo Mora ahead of the likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United this summer. The Porto youngster reportedly has a £55m release clause, which could yet increase to £77m between now and 2027.

With that said, the Villans would be wise to make their move as soon as possible and avoid the increased price tag. At 17 years old, of course the deal wouldn’t be coming cheap at £55m, but Mora is a player worth investing in.

A rising star, the attacking midfielder will undoubtedly be one to watch as the campaign progresses and he continues to steal plenty of positive headlines back in Portugal.

The interest in Mora’s signature should come as little surprise. After all, at just 17 years old, he has scored four goals and assisted another three in all competitions for Porto this season. It should also come as no shock to see Villa plotting their move.

When Asensio bows out of his loan spell at the end of the season, Unai Emery should set his sights on a replacement and one who has the chance to star for years to come, which Mora looks destined to do.

Earning plenty of praise throughout the current campaign, football talent scout Jacek Kulig dubbed the teenager a “special talent” at the end of last year as he enjoyed a run of two goals and three assists in three games for Porto.

Aston Villa are certainly putting themselves in the right conversations – ones which have ended with transfer success as of late. Now, they could look to repeat that genius by signing a future star this summer.

TVNZ is set to become the exclusive domestic broadcaster for all of New Zealand men’s and women’s international matches as well as the Super Smash from the beginning of 2023-24 home summer until the end of 2025-26 season. The move, according to an NZC media release, has come following Spark’s decision to exit the sports streaming market.The new deal with New Zealand’s largest free-to-air broadcaster will officially begin in July 2023, with the current home summer programme to be screened on Spark Sport and TVNZ. In addition to over 300 international and domestic cricket matches being screened live on a combination of TVNZ1 and Duke over the agreed three-year period, these fixtures will also be streamed on TVNZ+. Whisper, the production company, will continue to produce the matches for broadcast.The release also stated that the value of NZC’s media rights package has not changed.”Spark Sport has contributed significantly to the New Zealand sports environment, by introducing competition to the market, increasing the volume of cricket produced for broadcast, and implementing cutting-edge technology,” NZC chief executive David White said.”Notwithstanding the disappointment for Spark Sport, this is a very good outcome for the game of cricket in New Zealand.
