وقال كريم فؤاد في تصريحات عبر برنامج “الهدف” على “أون تايم سبورت 2”: “ذهبت لـ علي معلول في المستشفى بعد المباراة، وقال لي إنني أديت بشكل جيد جدًا في مباراة الترجي، ونصحني في مثل هذه المباريات أن أتقدم للأمام بحساب ولا أترك مركزي شاغرًا”.

وتابع: “أقول لـ علي معلول أنت تاريخ وأسطورة، أنا أعرف قيمته، هو من أفضل الأظهرة في التاريخ وليس في إفريقيا والوطن العربي فقط، أحاول بقدر الإمكان أتعلم منه، وأحاول أن أراقبه طوال الوقت، شخصيته قوية جدًا، ذهنيًا قوي وليس سهل أن يتأثر بكلام أو أداء سيء في مباراة، هو يعرف قيمته، ويرى نفسه بعينه هو، وليس بعين الآخرين”.
وأضاف: “أتمنى أن أحقق شيئًا يظل في تاريخ الأهلي، وأكون مساهمًا ولو بجزء في تاريخ النادي وأدون اسمي”.
وأردف: “كنت سأنضم لنادي بنفكيا البرتغالي لقضاء معايشة عندما كنت لاعبًا في نادي النجوم، محمد الطويلة كان قد جهز كل شيء، ثم جاءت جائحة كورونا وتوقف كل شيء، وعندما انتهت الأهلي تفاوض لضمي”.
وأشار: “أنتوني موديست لاعب كبير واسم كبير في الكرة الألمانية، وإمام عاشور (الحاوي) لاعب قوي جدًا”.
واختتم حديثه بالدعاء لأشقائنا في رفح وغزة، مُشددًا: “لا نمتلك شيئًا سوى الدعاء لهم”.
Arsenal are looking at strengthening their defence before deadline day following the massive injury blow to Jurrien Timber.

News in Denmark has now listed Arsenal as a potential suitor for Danish right-back Alexander Bah, who signed for Benfica last summer from Slavia Prague.
The report notes that the defender could be the ideal coup for the north Londoners considering the loss of Timber to injury and loan exit of Kieran Tierney, however, it’s believed that despite the Eagles’ reluctance to sell the 25-year-old, an offer of around €35m (£30m) would be hard to turn down.
Who is Alexander Bah?
Having been lauded as “incredible” after scoring his first goal for the Portuguese champions by the 'Danish Scout' on social media, the versatile full-back could be the perfect acquisition for Arteta to consider.
Deployable as both a defender and a winger on the right side, the Denmark international has strengths going forward consistent with the demands that the Arsenal boss has of his full-backs in north London.
As per FBref, last season in the Primeira Liga, the 25-year-old averaged an impressive average of 5.65 progressive passes and 2.83 progressive carries per 90 for Benfica, as well as recording a stellar 1.53 key passes per 90.

Based on such numbers, it’s clear to see why the "fast" and "quality" Dane – as once described by former Sporting CP and Zenit St Petersburg striker Danny – would be of interest to Arteta, particularly after the injury to Timber who proved to have a similar level of performance in Eredivisie, prior to his move to the capital.
Despite being deployed at centre-back for Ajax, the 22-year-old machine averaged a mammoth 8.62 progressive passes and 2.38 progressive carries per 90 for the Dutch side, suggesting the compatibility for Bah to take his place with a similar skill set identified, via FBref.
Defensively, the Benfica whiz was equally impressive as he was going forward last term, averaging a solid 2.83 tackles per 90 on the right side of defence to showcase his durability as a complete full-back.
Losing Timber was a monumentally disappointing shock for those at the Emirates, at a time when it was assumed that the Dutchman was the missing piece to fixing the lack of depth in quality in the back line.
In securing the signature of Bah, Arteta and Edu could find an instant replacement for the 22-year-old absentee, in a talent that has provided all the indicators that he could be a sufficient alternative to the £38m man.

So much has hit the mark, and that's without going into the shrewder purchases the Anfield side has been bespeckled with – Mohamed Salah, Andrew Robertson, and Sadio Mane, to name a few – but there have been instances of blunder on the transfer front, with none more poignant than the signing of Naby Keita.
How much did Liverpool pay for Naby Keita?
In 2017, Liverpool surpassed Keita's £48m release clause with RB Leipzig to sign a talented midfielder touted for a place at the forefront of the game, eclipsing the long-time club-record deal to sign Andy Carroll for £35m in 2011 and the £34.3m fee of Mo Salah.
The Guinean ace was described as being like "two players" by Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel as he flaunted his dazzling skills in Germany, dynamic and exciting as a multi-functional midfield force.
It later became clear that the Anfield side paid closer to £53m, offering a premium to ensure they landed their man, but what looked to be a dreamy swoop for a glimmering gem quickly grew into a nightmare, with Keita's horrendous injury record inhibiting him from tapping into even a portion of his potential at the club.
That's not to say he didn't exude quality at times; across his 129 appearances, the 28-year-old scored 11 goals and supplied seven assists, even being labelled "world-class" by Van Dijk, who prayed for his fitness to endure.
Well, it didn't. The 54-cap international never really managed to sustain form and fitness for long enough that he would earn a regular role in Klopp's burgeoning outfit, actually missing a staggering 87 matches for club and country between 2020/21 – 2022/23.
Why did Naby Keita leave Liverpool?
Branded "woeful" by journalist Louis Dangoor on one of the few times he made it onto the pitch across the last few campaigns, Keita's contract with Liverpool was never renewed and as it entered its conclusive year last season, there were no concrete signs of an agreement and he departed on a free transfer.
His efforts last term did not exactly aid his case, with Sofascore recording the player's average match rating in the Premier League at a frankly shambolic 6.47 across his eight outings.
Across those fixtures, Keita – who earned £130k-per-week with the Reds – completed just 78% of his passes, averaged only 0.6 tackles, 0.4 clearances and 0.3 interceptions per game and succeeded in winning 31% of his duels – for reference, Oxlade-Chamberlain won 36% last term.
With Keita even said to be Klopp's "worst signing" by Liverpool writer Charlotte Coates, it's one that will go down in the record books as a shambolic misfire.
While the player's prospects of success have been decimated by his terrible injury record, rather than an actual lack of ability, it's hard to look past the high transfer fee – projected to be a club-record when Liverpool agreed a preliminary deal.
How is Naby Keita doing now?
Having put a disappointing, if illustrious – while Keita struggled, he still contributed to an auspicious period in the Reds' history, there for each slice of silverware under Klopp to date – spell behind him, Keita penned a contract back in Germany with Werder Bremen.
When it rains it pours, and it's been torrential for beleaguered Keita for some time now; having arrived at Bremen for a fresh start, the dynamo picked up an injury in pre-season, suffering an adductor muscle injury in July and yet to make his maiden appearance for the club.
Werder Bremen lost their opening two fixtures of the 2023/24 league campaign against Bayern Munich and Freiburg but rebounded with a galvanising 4-0 victory over Mainz before the international break – as fully-fit Keita would be more than just a welcome addition, but his chances of cementing a spot dangle by a tenuous thread.
Valued at just £8m at present by Football Transfers, Keita's ill-fated career looks unlikely to receive a dramatic resurgence at this stage, and Liverpool and Klopp will forever rue the misfortune that prevented an immensely talented jewel from shining.

وبشأن مشاركته في مباراة مصر والمغرب ولعبه ضد أشرف حكيمي؟، أجاب: “حاولت أستفز أشرف حكيمي، ونجحت بالفعل، وكان يشعر بالجنون وأخرجته من المباراة، وتشاجرنا، وبعد المباراة كان يريد قميص محمد صلاح والأخير قال لي تعالى أصالحك عليه وأنا رفضت”.
وبسؤاله عن علاقته بـ محمد صلاح؟، أوضح: “محمد صلاح يحبني جدًا، وأنا دائمًا عندي مشكلة في الفطار، كنت أقول له لو فزنا الفطار (مفتوح) يعني من يريد أن يفطر يأكل ومن لا يريد يتناول الغداء”.

It might still be early on in the season, but with games under their belts – five for Luton and six for Wolves – we can start to assess their form in this early part of the season and just how they might fair in this upcoming clash.
For Luton, the return to top flight football has been a tough one, and to say that their season has started poorly might be a bit of an understatement. For the visitors, it's been an interesting start to the season, as despite looking brilliant for their entire game against Manchester United and for at least half of their game against Liverpool, they find themselves down in 16th, with just a single win – against Everton – and once again looking down rather than up.
The story of their season so far – as it was last year – is one of missed chances as despite being perilously close to the relegation zone, the Premier League have the Old Gold down as the seventh most frequent creators of 'big chances' so far this season.
With both sides needing to turn their fortunes around, this encounter promises to be an entertaining one.
